The NZ Southern Explorer - Pinot Noir Edition

The landscape of our South Island is impressive to say the least. In just over 800 km the scenery changes from lush green bush in the Nelson-Tasman region to rugged coastlines in Marlborough and then into limestone foothills through North Canterbury and Waipara. 

If you keep going south, the Canterbury plains offer wide open panoramas with a backdrop of mountains beckoning in the distance. It's here that winemakers get serious about Pinot. As you enter the Otago region - once known for goldrush, it's now producing some of the world's finest pinot noir outside of Burgundy. 

Crossing the Main Divide into Otago and we get to some established subregions offering diverse terroirs and microclimates that result in different expressions of Pinot.
